Four Day Workshop--Wednesday--Saturday, April 9--12, 2025

Creating an improv medallion quilt is a super fun way to learn about improvisionally piecing within a structure. Students will learn the following things and more—how to piece improv units so that they are approximately the same size, how to do intuitive math, how to create asymmetrical symmetry, and how to create a super satisfying medallion masterpiece.

Price includes meals (Dinner Tuesday night through breakfast Sunday morning) and lodging from Tuesday afternoon through Sunday morning and a full workshop of guided instruction from Maria!!

$1200 includes lodging (see rooms under accommodations), meals, and the workshop! Friends can request to room together.  Out of towners can  fly into Kansas City, Uber or shuttle to Art Nest anytime on Tuesday, leave by afternoon on Sunday. There is a quilt shop 7 minutes away, Sew Enchanting Equine  for any last minute supplies!

Legit Kits Workshop with instructor Michele McIntosh. Michele is a certified legit kit instructor and will help all students with any legit kit they want to work on, including the new vintage sewing machine, Sewphia.

Each person will be responsible for purchasing their own legit kit. Michele will send out a coupon code for 10% off that will be available 6 weeks prior to the workshop.

Sewphia kit will only be available through Michele. More information on purchase will be available at approximately $279+tax.

Make trips to Hamilton event (51 min drive) and sew in the evening at Art Nest Retreat Center.
